Biography
Tom Sullivan has been appointed as a judge to the Supreme Court of Queensland. He was sworn in on February 24, 2023.
Tom previously had a busy commercial practice in State and Federal Courts and tribunals, where he appeared at both trial and appellate levels. He regularly represented clients in significant commercial arbitrations and a range of mediations.
Tom’s practice was focused on insolvency, construction, banking, corporations law and has even dabbled in property disputes in the Family Court. Tom is particularly experienced in large and complex building and construction disputes, some of which have had hearings which lasted many months and involved dollars in the hundreds of millions.
Tom’s list of clients included a range of international and Australian clients, including several companies on the ASX 200 List.
